Inisiatif Green Growth: Kontribusi Korea Selatan dalam Mitigasi Krisis Lingkungan Internasional

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat bagaimana upaya Korea Selatan berkontribusi dalam mitigasi krisis lingkungan internasional. Kebijakan green growth secara mendasar ditujukan untuk meperbaiki kondisi lingkungan domestik akibat proyek industrialisasi di masa lampau. Namun, dalam implementasinya ternyata Korea Selatan juga menetapkan target untuk menjadi inisiator bagi dunia internasional dalam melakukan mitigasi krisis lingkungan melalui kebijakan ramah lingkungan. Tujuan tulisan ini akan diarahkan pada pembahasan terkait upaya Korea Selatan sebagai negara miidle power mewujudkan Rancangan Five Years Plan, khususnya poin kesepuluh yaitu menjadi role model bagi dunia Internasional terkait pengembangan model kebijakan ramah lingkungan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan Teknik penelitian kepustakaan (library research). Hasilnya ditemukan bahwa bahwa Korea Selatan memainkan peran sebagai negara middle power dalam mengatasi isu lingkungan internasional. Artinya, Korea Selatan berusaha menyadarkan masyarakat internasional akan pentingnya melakukan mitigasi krisis lingkungan hidup melalui green growth policy.
